A
"band" only in the broadest sense of the word, The Second Self
is rather a collective of friends/musicians who get together each week
to record music. Led by Hoboken, NJ-based singer/songwriter Ray Ecke,
The Second Self's 11-song debut CD, "Souvenir,"
is the result of two years worth of home recordings.
Prior to forming The Second Self, Ecke played acoustic guitar and wrote songs for the acclaimed New Jersey-based power-pop band Say Uncle!. Both drummer Terry Farley and guitarist/keyboardist Rick Bustamante, (who both co-produced "Souvenir" and performed on the tracks), were also members. |
