Green Dream started as a flowerpowerrock'n'punkband in 1990. After 5 years of rehearsing, performing, writing songs and making demo cassettes the band recorded its first CD 'Sarajevo' (1995). This album contains 15 Green Dream songs that were recorded at the Radio Transit studio by Jo Smeets.

Green Dream had many gigs in Holland, Germany and Belgium and won several band contests. Sarajevo played on the national radio stations but did not get the breakthrough the band wanted badly. Green Dream had a big line-up in those days: drums, bass, two electric guitars, keyboards, flute, saxophone and five singers. After the one year long Sarajevo-tour, bandleader Frank Heine decided that he needed better musicians in order to make musical progress.

A new line-up was formed by replacing the drummer and the bass player with Rene van Engeland and Sjak Bruys. After a year of rehearsing the second CD was recorded: 'India'. This album contained four Green Dream songs and was recorded at the ACE-studio in Aartselaar (Belgium) by Frank van Bogaert. The album was received very well by the press and the radio stations. But again: no big breakthrough. Green Dream had become a band that needed a big stage due to the big line-up. To solve this problem the band was reduced to its core: drums, bass, guitar and two singers. After performing for about half a year in this line-up a second guitar player, Angelo Bombrini, was added to the band.

This was the start of today's line-up. The band started growing again and the desire to make a new album was born. In April 2001 the new CD 'Ready to go' was recorded at ACE, the band's favourite studio, again by Frank van Bogaert. The album contains 10 Green Dream songs and is undoubtedly the best album made by the band up till now. 'Ready to Go' is getting national airplay and the live clips are being shown on TV-stations. A new video clip is coming out soon and Green Dream is now trying to get a record company to take over the release and promotion of the 'Ready to go' album.

At this moment the band is making plans for the next album to be recorded in the summer of 2002. Green Dream is working harder than ever before and has become a band of true friends who all want the same thing: making music and enjoying the gigs and the recording process as much as possible.
