I have been writing and playing for about ten years. I play guitar, bass and keyboards and a computer(?!), which I class as an instrument as I use it as such.
I wish to combine "soundscapes" or sound environments with more conventional musical forms, such as melody, rhythm etc.... I'm also a visual artist, and this contributes strongly to my work ie; to suggest "images" to the listener.

Ideally, I would like to be in a position of autonomy, writing, recording and releasing whatever/whenever....I would like my music to be used in conjunction with dance and film. Success is important, but I would rather have limited success in order to maintain artistic control. Whilst my music might be described as "abstract" I have no doubt of its'commercial "viability"

I find it hard to describe what I do, as it doesn't seem to fit easily in to any catagory (just check out my influences!) I am excited by the angular, the unconventional and the sincere, I am dismayed by the uniform, the false and the cynical.

Additional Recordings Info:
One Cd so far; "Innerspaceage"; A stuttering bass groove with spacy electric piano and reversed guitars, the "whole tone" chord sequence reflecting a Debussy fixation.
"Las An Solas" is largely a soundscape, with snatches of Ukrainian, Irish, and Spanish Dialogue, slowed down reversed Wah-Wah guitar/organ, rattling trains/clocks, breathing, references to Arabic music and JS Bach.
"Loss And Solace" is a 7/8 groove, very dreamy, a constant electric piano riff underpinning various shifts in mood, harmony and instrumentation.
